Sýningunni K a p a l l lýkur næstkomandi sunnudag, 2. september. Sýningarsalurinn er opin daglega frá kl. 12:00-18:00.
Á sýningunni er varpað ljósi á þær miklu breytingar og framfarir sem samskiptatæknin hefur haft í för með sér. Offlæði upplýsinga og sífellt hraðari samskipti nútímans vekja upp hugleiðingu um kapalinn, – strenginn sem símasamskiptin fóru fyrst um á Íslandi fyrir rúmri öld og kom á land á Seyðisfirði.

This weekend is the final weekend for the exhibition C a b l e. The Skaftfell gallery is open daily form 12.00-18.00.
C a b l e highlights the major changes and advances brought about by communication technology. Experiences of information overload and increasingly fast-paced communication in our present time provoke critical reflections about Seyðisfjörður’s submarine cable – the cord that carried telephone communication to Iceland for the first time, and was connected to land in Seyðisfjörður over a century ago.
