Chapter One: The Path of Least Resistance
Í öðrum hluta seríunnar Náttúruöfl beinir Aishling Muller sjónum sínum að vatninu og tengingu þess við tilfinningaheiminn. Þar blandar hún saman vatni, ís ljósmyndum, myndböndum, skúlptúr innsetningum og þátttökulist til að túlka og endurskapa orkuheilun og losun tilfinninga.
Frá listamanninum
Innblástur sinn fær Aishling frá hinu eðlislæga, hinu heilaga, frá innra ferðalagi lífsins, frumspeki og ritúalisma og hvernig slíkt speglar hina djúpu tengingu manns og náttúru. Dregnar eru upp myndir af augnablikum sem uppleysa mannlega dramatík í þeim tilgangi að skýra tilveru okkar og túlka dýpt. Nýverið hefur Aishling unnið sérstaklega með dulræn öfl náttúrunnar og aldagamalt samspil þeirra við mannlega tilveru.
Um listamanninn
Aishling Muller er írsk sjónlistakona sem unnið hefur að list sinni síðan 2007. Muller er með BA gráðu í hljóð- og myndmiðlun og lauk MA prófi í stafrænum listum frá NCAD í Dublin 2010. Aishling hefur búið á Íslandi síðan 2015 og hefur verið virk sem listamaður í Listastofunni síðan 2016. Aishling vinnur aðallega með stafræna ljósmyndun og myndbönd en hefur á síðustu árum einnig nýtt sér innsetningar og stafræna þátttökulist. www.heartheartheartearth.com

Chapter One: The Path of Least Resistance
Following on from Elemental – The Prologue, this work forms part two of Muller’s Elemental series taking a closer look at the element of water and its connection to the world of human emotion. Merging water, ice, photography, video, sculptural installation and participatory art works, recreating an energetic healing and release process.
Artists Statement
Muller’s works are inspired by indigenous spiritual traditions, the sacred, life’s inner journey, the metaphysical and the ritualistic, mirroring the deep-rooted connections of man with the natural world. Key moments of growth in life are depicted to punctuate human drama in order to clarify our existence and express depth. Most recently, Muller has been working specifically with natures elements and their symbiotic relationship to human existence.
Biography
Aishling Muller is a visual artist from Ireland, who has been developing her art practice since 2007. Muller trained with a BA in audio/visual media and an MA in Art in the Digital world in NCAD Dublin 2010. Since 2015, she has been living in Iceland and has been an in-house artist with Listastofan since 2016. Muller works mainly with digital photography and video but in recent years has been working with installation and multi-media participatory works. www.heartheartheartearth.com
