The application for international residents to the Nordic Guest Studio 2018 is now open.
We encourage local initiatives to apply.
The applicants must be involved in a project in Stockholm which is organised by : another artist, a curator, an organisation or an institution.
The artist in person cannot apply, it is the person in charge of the projects, that is based in Sweden, that must apply on behalf of the artist and that will be responsible for the development of the project.
Please observe that if your project is selected, you will be asked to confirm your residency 2 months in advance by making a payment of 1500 SEK for booking and administration. We accept approximately twelve projects per year, but encourage residency periods of varying length.

Artist Residency Program
The Nordic Guest Studio in Malongen, Stockholm, Sweden.
A studio with accommodation for one artist. The Nordic guest studio in Malongen is situated at Nytorget in the Söder district, a nice and lively area in the centre of Stockholm. The building, dating from the 1670’s, houses several other studios for artists. The studio flat is roughly 100 m2. The two-room flat with kitchen and bathroom is fully furnished and equipped with Internet. If necessary, artists may be accompanied by family members.

The guest studio is run by the swedish Section of the Nordic Art Association. Selection of artists is made in collaboration with our member and partner organisations.
The application process is open once a year during the month of september (sept. 1st – 30th) for the following year. The applications are looked through by the executive and the advisory board, the program is then set for the following year and announced by the end of October.
