Flying Waters
Therme Art & König Gallery
Berlin Art Week 9. – 20. sept 2020

Flying Waters is a self-generated, real time rendering, using Tensorflow AI, and digital and analogue inputs to drive the illusion of flying water jets, which are projected onto the facade of König Gallery in Berlin. Digital space is part of our daily lives when we chat on the phone or use an app to check our bus’s schedule. The expectation that virtual reality is something that we enter only by using a VR headset is a dated idea of a digital future from the 1990s. With his immersive water-based sculpture The Mother, which was commissioned by Therme Art for a Therme Group facility, Sæbjörnsson mixes real and self-generated, revealing and blurring the lines between digital and non-digital reality.

Every night from 19:30 – 23:00
