AiR-Vejle is Vejle Printmaking Workshop’s residency programme for international Printmaking artists.
The primary goal of the residency is to give the artist an opportunity for some time to immerse themselves in the artistic process. At the same time there is a focus on networking, dialogue and knowledge exchange.
Vejle Printmaking Workshop is a relatively new workshop (established in 2016). It was created with the purpose of establishing and developing technical facilities within the professional printmaking art field. The intention is to ensure, that the artists associated with the workshop have the best possible conditions for their creation of fine art print.
AIR-Vejle cooperates with Vejle Art Museum. Vejle Art Museum is a leader in fine art prints / works on paper. The museum has a unique collection of about 20.000 works – the next largest collection of prints in Denmark.
Together with being awarded the residency, the chosen artist is awarded 15.000 Danish kroner (about 2.000Euros). The artist provides their own transport, lodging, meals (and other necessities) and materials.
